If you’ve been making music for long enough, you’ve probably seen the Old Skool Vox collection at some point. It was passed around on CDs, shared on forums, copied between friends and left sitting on countless studio hard drives. Nobody really knew where it came from, but almost everyone seemed to have a copy.
Now it’s finally found a home on Voclr.it.
We’ve added the entire collection as its own library, giving members access to 4,673 classic vocal samples from the late ’80s, ’90s and early 2000s.
Unlike traditional acapellas, these are short vocal moments rather than full performances. They’re the quick shouts, catchy phrases, chopped hooks and memorable one-liners that producers have been dropping into tracks for decades. Sometimes all you need is a single vocal hit to bring a build-up to life or give a drop that extra bit of energy.
While Voclr.it is best known for full studio acapellas, we know producers are always looking for those smaller, usable sounds that fit naturally into a mix. The Old Skool Vox collection sits perfectly alongside our acapella library, giving you another source of inspiration when you’re working on your next track.
Rather than leaving this legendary collection scattered across old downloads and forgotten backups, we’ve organised it into a dedicated library that’s easy to browse and search.
